Filament tangles can disrupt printing by causing under-extrusion, nozzle jams, or complete print failures. While rare with properly wound spools, tangles can occur due to mishandling or, occasionally, manufacturing errors.

If your printer allows, pause the job to avoid damage or wasting material. Use the printer’s unload function or manually heat the nozzle and gently remove the filament.
Slowly unwind 8–10 loops from the spool until you locate the tangle or overlap. Avoid pulling forcefully. Straighten and rewrap the filament carefully, ensuring smooth, even layers without crossing loops.
Always insert the filament end into one of the holes on the spool rim after use. This prevents it from slipping underneath and causing future tangles.
Once detangled, reload the filament and resume or restart your print as needed.
